Amanda Charney california poppies

Amanda Charney is a Los Angeles native, hailing from Hermosa Beach, CA. She started performing at the age of 5 when she joined a local children's theater with her sister, and has been passionate about musical theater ever since. Some of her recent performances include her starring role in the world premiere production of Weed Shop the Musical (Alicia Wilson), Domino One Productions' The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive Ostrovsky), and Will You Accept This Rose? The Bachelor Parody Musical (Madison) which returned after a successful Valentine's Day performance to run at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. In the world of film, Amanda's indie feature "Calvinball" recently won the Audience Award for "Best Feature Film" at the Golden State Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA.

A graduate of the USC School of Dramatic Arts, Amanda studied classical and contemporary theater, on-camera performance, voice over acting, cinema, and more. She appeared in various School of Dramatic Arts productions, including On the Town (dir. John Rubinstein) and The American Clock (dir. Dan Bonnell). She was also an active member of the co-ed, professional cinema fraternity, Delta Kappa Alpha. Amanda spent a semester at the British American Drama Academy in London. 

Amanda performs around California with the Andrews Sisters group The Harmony Dolls and enjoys traveling, baking, rock climbing, and cuddling her cat Jiji.
